Prayer

Prayer

“…and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results.” – James 5:16 (NLB)

Stonebrook ladies, we have the wonderful privilege as God’s daughters to come before our Father’s throne with requests, knowing he hears us and is the rewarder of our faith. I love King David’s perspective in Psalm 5:3, “Morning by morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; morning by morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation (“eagerly watch” in the NAS version).”

We are all aware of needs in our family and church family that I’m sure you are praying about and trusting God for. I wanted to share some special opportunities to practice the verse above in relation to several of our pastors’ wives. Could you join me at the throne of grace for these special needs?

Together we can eagerly watch for God’s wonderful answers.

  • This week Annette Barrett flew to China to receive some special treatments for her ongoing disabilities related to her past Pray for safety, good health, and smooth transition to her new environment. Pray the treatments will have good results! Pray she stays encouraged being away from family and friends. And, pray she is a light to those around her… God’s ambassador in a foreign land.
  • Mindy continues to struggle as well with her health Please pray for her physical strength to return and for overall healing of her body. Pray for encouragement and refreshment of her soul and for special grace to manage her household and family.
  • Holly Anderson recently had a bout of kidney stones that was very Please pray for her recovery from that as well as her continued healing relating to some other health issues. She too is a busy momma, so pray for grace to care for her family as she heals.

Thanks, sisters, for your support and encouragement through prayer! And as you pray, listen! Perhaps God has some thoughts on ways you can encourage and support these women whether through a thoughtful card (Annett’s China address will hopefully be posted in the bulletin) or some small act of service.  Blessings to you all!!!
