Nov. 29 Service Online Only – the November 29th service will be online only. Join us online at 10 a.m!

Stonebrook Office Closed – The office will be closed on Thursday and Friday, so staff can enjoy Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving Thank You – Thank you all so much for your generous donation of canned goods and other items to bless those in need! Although we cannot meet together this year for a Thanksgiving meal, many people will be blessed by a take away Thanksgiving meal both here in Ames and in DSM and more will be blessed with food in their cupboards during this holiday season! May God be glorified in all of it!

Baptistery Thank You – Thank you to the men from Campus Fellowship for their help in setting up the baptistery. A special thank you to Dave Martin for all of his assistance in set up, dismantling and helping fold the baptistery liner with Terri Huffman’s expertise too!  What a wonderful Baptism Sunday we had indeed!  PRAISE THE LORD!  Thank you very kindly, Dick Miller

Diaper Donations for Obria – As you are Christmas shopping in town or online, don’t forget to buy a package of diapers for the crisis pregnancy center, Obria.  The teens will be collecting diapers each Sunday this December or you can drop them off during office hours at the church.

Angel Tree – Due to pandemic restrictions, the Prison Fellowship Angel Tree program that Stonebrook usually participates in be virtual this year! Instead of purchasing a gift, you can sponsor a child of a prisoner for $22 so that they receive a Christmas package on behalf of their incarcerated loved one. The Christmas package will include: a gift card to Wal-Mart ($20), the prisoner parent’s message, a Gospel presentation, and an opportunity to request a free Adventure Bible.

There is also an option to give the caregiver a Wal-Mart gift card and we would encourage you to consider this as well. We have done soup in a jar for the caregiver on several occasions in the past but I am sure the Wal-Mart gift card will be appreciated too.

Please note, this email includes your organization’s access details, so please keep it safe!

Calendar – Sundays – All Church Prayer Meetings (Weekly, 7-7:30 p.m.)

This Week’s Sermon:  Pastor Brad will start a new series on “Advent: Rescues – The Rescue of Noah in the Flood.” Ever feel like you need to be rescued from guilt, shame, or other problems? From where do we look for answers? God is both a righteous judge and a merciful rescuer, and we know this well through the coming of his Son, Jesus our Savior.  In addition, throughout history God has repeatedly shown himself to deliver his people from judgment and death.  This Sunday we’ll look at the shocking judgment of the Flood and the merciful rescue of one man and his family, an important picture of the Advent of Jesus Christ.

Weekly Memory Verse – Genesis 6:7–8 ESV  “So the Lord said, ‘I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them.’  But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.”
