Christmas Eve Service – Join us either in person or on the live stream for Stonebrook’s annual Christmas Eve Service, 6:30-8 p.m. on Christmas Eve!
Diaper Donations for Obria – Life is MESSY and full of CHANGES! Add a package of diapers under the tree in the church entryway for Obria…the crisis pregnancy center here in Ames.
Angel Tree – The deadline to sign up for Angel Tree is Monday! Due to pandemic restrictions, the Prison Fellowship Angel Tree program that Stonebrook usually participates in be virtual this year! Instead of purchasing a gift, you can sponsor a child of a prisoner for $22 so that they receive a Christmas package on behalf of their incarcerated loved one. The Christmas package will include: a gift card to Wal-Mart ($20), the prisoner parent’s message, a Gospel presentation, and an opportunity to request a free Adventure Bible.
There is also an option to give the caregiver a Wal-Mart gift card and we would encourage you to consider this as well. We have done soup in a jar for the caregiver on several occasions in the past but I am sure the Wal-Mart gift card will be appreciated too.
Please note, this email includes your organization’s access details, so please keep it safe!

Demo Days! – We are getting ready for a contractor to work on the new gathering area, and we need to have some demo days in the existing nursery! Whether you are high or low skilled, any able-bodied person can be put to work! The demo days will be Dec. 30, 31, and Jan. 2 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sign up for as much time as you have!

This Week’s Sermon: Pastor Brad will teach on “Advent: Rescues – Rescues: Esther and the Invisible God.” Though God may often seem absent to us, he is conspicuously present in our lives to help us. He is our ever-present help in trouble. We will journey through the Book of Esther, and though God is never mentioned directly, his fingerprints are all over this remarkable story of rescue. From this story and especially from the ultimate rescue of Christ the Savior, our faith will be strengthened and our worship increased.
Weekly Memory Verse – Esther 4:14 ESV “For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
