Announcements for the Week of March 14

2021 Women’s Retreat Every Piece: God’s Mosaic – Register by Sunday March 14 for the reduced price! Register on-line, or visit the table that will be in the foyer this Sunday. We are looking forward to spending time with you either in-person or virtually on Saturday, April 10th for this year’s one day retreat.  We will gather at the church to spend some time in (socially distanced) fellowship with our sisters in Christ, as well as on Zoom.  We have a full day of connection, relaxation, and fun planned for you.

Easter Lilies – Would you like to donate an Easter lily in memory of a loved one for Stonebrook’s Easter Sunday service? Sign up to donate an Easter lily, fill out the form at https://sbcc.us/2V3wFWD or send an e-mail to Terri Huffman (terri@stonebrook.org) for more information. Then, purchase a lily and deliver it to the church by Friday, April 19. We will display your lily on Easter Sunday!

Serving our Community:
Obria Medical Clinic, our Ames prolife clinic formerly called Informed Choices, is in need of volunteers to work the front desk.  Please contact Rhonda at rmorrison@obria.org or call the clinic directly at 515-620-5892.

This Week’s Sermon –   John Shields will preach on “Minor Prophets: Turn and Live. Call on the Lord.” When we think of judgment, we may think of criminals receiving judgement for crimes or we may think of others unfairly judging us for our choices, but what if we were to be immediately and fairly judged for our actions toward God and others? What sort of judgement would we receive? The prophet Joel warns of a Day of the Lord, a day of judgement coming for all, and Joel helps us understand how we should ready ourselves and others for this coming day.

Weekly Memory Verse – “And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” – Joel 2:32a
