Update on Construction – After a long delay, construction of the nursery, classroom, and gathering space is starting back up. There are still some supplies on back order for the gathering space, so the contractors will be finishing up the nursery and Sunday school room, and doing what they can in the gathering space. Here is a schedule of construction for the rest of July:

In the next few days, the temporary wall will be removed. The carpet in the back hallway classrooms and the new storage room will be torn out and the glue removed.

July 16 – LVP flooring will be installed in the gathering space and around the sink area in the nursery. Once the flooring is installed, the new furniture for the gathering space will be delivered.

July 19-21 – Carpet will be installed in the nursery, the new Sunday school room, the three existing Sunday school rooms in the back hallway, and in the new table storage closet.

In the next few weeks (dates TBD) the new bathroom floor will be tiled and the entry way tile will be torn out and replaced.

It is exciting to see progress again! Please be praying for supplies to arrive and completion of the entire project to happen soon. Also, parents, please help you children to stay out of the construction areas and off of any piles of supplies, etc.

This Week’s Sermon – Deacon Cliff Plymesser will preach on “Proverbs: Getting Counsel.” Proverbs 1 thru 8 casts a grand vision of the power of fearing God and walking in wisdom.  It repeatedly encourages us to seek after it like hidden treasure.  But where do we find wisdom?  The easy and obvious answer to start with is scripture.  But scripture isn’t always explicit about how to manage my finances in 2021, what career field I should go into, or how to address unique challenges in my relationships with friends, spouse, or children.  Proverbs encourages us to counsel with one another to gain wisdom in our daily lives.  I’ll be talking about how to get counsel, who to get it from and how to give good counsel.

Memory Verse – “Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed.”  Proverbs 15:22 (ESV)
