This Week’s Sermon – Pastor Dave will preach on “Proverbs: Sexual Wisdom.”  All of us are deeply affected by the sexual revolution. Sex and romance are all around us — in our music, TV shows, movies, commercials, and social media. Sex is even hotly debated politically, in our congress and courts. Our cultural understanding of sex strongly clashes with what the Bible teaches about it, and we tend to view the Bible’s teachings as unappealing and restrictive. The book of Proverbs has a lot to say about sex. If we pay attention, we can understand and even celebrate God’s beautiful, wise, and exhilarating plan for sex and avoid the devastation and destruction that come when we follow our own thinking.

Memory Verse – “Though the lips of the forbidden woman drip honey and her words are smoother than oil, in the end she’s as bitter as wormwood and as sharp as a double-edged sword.” (Proverbs 5:3–4, CSB)
