Parents, we’ll have a parent/child dedication on Sunday, May14, during the service. Sign up by May 9 if you and your child would like to be included.
The purpose of this dedication is to present our families with young children to the Lord and the church, giving them a blessing and offering them to the Lord in prayer. Families are an integral part of God’s plan for mankind and the church, so this dedication allows us to seek God’s help on behalf of the families. Our children ultimately belong to the Lord, and so parents are given a stewardship by God to “bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4). So we will gather families together, present them to the Lord and the church, and seek God in prayer for his gracious, powerful blessing on them.
