  1. Why does our boldness in entering the sanctuary rest on the finished work of Jesus?
  2. What are we as believers graciously invited to do in verses Hebrews 10:22-25?  How is each of those invitations accomplished practically?
  3. What happens in the life of a believer when they fix their hope on Christ?
  4. Describe the attitude and character traits of someone who deliberately goes on sinning and what are the resulting consequences of despising God’s word?  
  5. What was happening in the lives of believers in Hebrews in the early days of their faith?
  6. Why is walking by faith so important in enduring as a believer until the end?
  7. What are some reasons people draw back from faith?  What encouragement would you give someone that was beginning to draw back?

Application:

  1. Who has God placed in my life to watch out for me and provoke me to good works?  In what way could I thank them for their obedience to God’s word today?
  2. Is there any place in my life where I am tolerating willful sin, my own or someone else’s, and why can I trust God to help me deal with this?  What is God calling me to do next?
  3. How will I remind myself of my better and enduring possession in my day to day life?  Are there specific scriptures I find especially helpful in remembering this truth?
  4. How has remembering my better and enduring possession helped me or is helping me cope with loss, persecution, or discouragement?
