Dear Stonebrook, As many you have already heard, Governor Kim Reynolds has proclaimed a state of public health disaster emergency. This adds to the already issued presidential declaration of national emergency and affects our ministry in a serious way, specifically outlawing gatherings of more than 10 people until the disaster terminates (currently set to expire on March 31.) Angel Tree

It is once again time for the Angel Tree Program (an outreach of Prison Fellowship) where you have the opportunity to purchase Christmas gifts for children who have a parent who is in prison. Check out the foyer for more information!

All Church Caroling

Join us for the second annual All Church Caroling event on Sunday, Dec. 8! We will gather at Stonebrook at 5:45 p.m., and carol at two senior venues. Then we will return to Stonebrook for snacks and beverages. Be sure to wear your ugliest Christmas sweater for the ugly sweater contest! Last year was a lot of fun, and we hope you will join us for this year!

Week of Prayer

Be sure to sign up for prayer time(s) during Stonebrook’s annual week of prayer November 14-20. Pray alone, with a friend, or with family members, We will give some direction on what to pray for, and you are welcome to add to the list. our goal is to ahve at least one person in the building praying from 5 a.m. – midnight every day. Women’s Christmas Card Craft

Join us for two opportunities for fellowship, crafting, snacks and fun as we assemble Christmas cards to be distributed during our family Christmas caroling in December. Come for one or both times on Saturday, November 9, from 2-4 p.m. and/or Thursday, November 14, from 7-9 p.m. in the hospitality room. Thanksgiving Meal Nov. 17

Stonebrook’s annual all church Thanksgiving meal will be after church on November 17. Stonebrook will provide turkey and gravy. Bring two items from the following list (mashed potatoes, vegetables, salads, rolls, desserts). Bring twice the amount that you family would eat of the two items. We hope you can join us for the fellowship and a meal together!

Women’s Study on Psalms

Women, join us this fall for a 4-week dive into Psalms! There will be identical evening and day-time studies. The evening study will begin Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. and the day-time study will begin on Oct. 22 at 9:30 a.m. at the church. No homework required and no book to buy! Just bring your Bible and a notebook! Women, join us on Sat., Oct. 26, from 10-11:30 a.m. We will gather to SIP! coffee or tea, enjoy refreshments, and drink deeply from God’s Word. our topic will be gratitude. Together, we will find encouragement from God’s Word, learn about the power of gratitude, and explore creative and tangible expressions of our gratitude toward God and others.

Pre-marriage Retreat

Pre-marriage Retreat October 25-26 Stonebrook will host a pre-marriage retreat Oct. 25-26.  If you are an engaged or soon to be engaged couple, this retreat is for you!  The cost is $45 per couple.  Register online or email (office @stonebrook.org) by Oct. 18.

Want to Become a Member?

Discovery Classes are open to people who are interested in finding out more about Stonebrook’s beliefs, history, vision, structure and possible membership. The three-class series will be held during the service on Oct. 20 and 27, and the evening of Nov. 3. Contact the office (office@stonebrook.org) with questions and to sign up.

Women’s Progressive Dinner

Join the fun at the Women’s fall kickoff progressive dinner on Saturday, October 12, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. The evening will begin at 5:30 at Stonebrook Church. We will then “progress” to Joan Greiner’s home for appetizers, Jessica Hibbing’s home for the main dish, and back to the church for desserts. Tickets are $12 and must be purchased by October 6.

Community Groups – small groups of friends who gather regularly — are an essential part of our strategy to help every one of use grow closer to God and enjoy life more.
