Mark your calendar for Feb. 21-22 for a parenting seminar at Walnut Creek Church in Des Moines. The main speaker will be Tedd Tripp – speaking on “Instructing your Child’s Heart”. Personal Finance Workshop Stonebrook will be hosting a 4-session personal finance workshop on Tuesday nights in February from 6-7:30p. Join us for the second annual All Church Caroling event on Sunday, Dec. 8! We will gather at Stonebrook at 5:45 p.m., and carol at two senior venues. Stonebrook’s annual all church Thanksgiving meal will be after church on November 17. Stonebrook will provide turkey and gravy. Bring two items from the following list (mashed potatoes, vegetables, salads, rolls, desserts). Bring twice the amount that you family would eat of the two items. Pre-marriage Retreat October 25-26 Stonebrook will host a pre-marriage retreat Oct. 25-26. If you are an engaged or soon to be engaged couple, this retreat is for you! The cost is $45 per couple. Register online or email (office @stonebrook.org) by Oct. 18.
Discovery Classes are open to people who are interested in finding out more about Stonebrook’s beliefs, history, vision, structure and possible membership. Join the fun at the Women’s fall kickoff progressive dinner on Saturday, October 12, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. The evening will begin at 5:30 at Stonebrook Church. We will then “progress” to Joan Greiner’s home for appetizers, Jessica Hibbing’s home for the main dish, and back to the church for desserts. Tickets are $12 and must be purchased by October 6.
Community Groups – small groups of friends who gather regularly — are an essential part of our strategy to help every one of use grow closer to God and enjoy life more. Calling all students entering grades 7-12 and their parents! The Parent and Teen Ministry kick-off will be Wednesday, September 4 at 7 p.m. at Stonebrook. There will be games, ice cream, and we’ll talk about our plan for the year. Parent attendance is required for this event in order to complete registration paperwork.
