  1. What events occurred after Jesus and his disciples left the synagogue?
  2. Why did people bring all the sick and demon-possessed to Jesus in the evening “after sunset”?
  3. How did the healings Jesus performed authenticate his message? What was that message?
  4. How did the healings that Jesus performed foreshadow what he ultimately came to accomplish?
  5. How did Jesus prepare for the ministry and travels that lay before him?
  6. For what purpose did Jesus come for as expressed in vs 38? What had his disciples expected Jesus to do with their claim “Everyone is looking for you!”?
  7. Touching a person with leprosy created great risk for both contracting the disease andbecause it made a person “unclean” for a period of time to be included in society. What did the leperous man believe about Jesus as he approached him?
  8. Why was Jesus able to make the man clean without becoming “unclean” himself? What did this show that Jesus had authority over?
  9. Why do you think Jesus told the leperous man not to tell anyone about his cleansing but instead go and show himself to the priest?
