In this section we see the 72 return excited by what they have seen and done. Jesus corrects their view to see what their greatest joy should be.
This Sunday we will be looking at Mary’s response to God’s promise and we will ask the question “How do we respond to God’s Promises?
This week we will continue being instructed by Acts as we see the response of the early church to persecution in Acts 4.
The Christian life is described as a race. And as anyone who has seen God’s call for how we ought to run it we know that it can seem long and hard. The apostle Paul tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11 that we cannot run well or finish strong if we lose sight of the finish line and the prize.
For better or for worse we have all been imprinted by our Fathers or by the absence of a Father in our life. This Sunday we will look to see what God’s purpose for Fathers are and how we are meant to respond to His call to Fatherhood.
